How do I join this clan?

It is very simple. Just follow these steps:

1: Be at least level 6.
2: Bribe the guard to the castle gate (takes 150 each time, and works about 1/4 of the time)
3: Go to the Clan Hall.
4: Type "Brothers of Justice", press enter
5: Click "Make it so - JOIN"
6: Click "{1}Petition to join $1000" (costs $1000, and 1 quest)
7: Wait 2 days.
8: Receive grant from post office.
9: "use" grant.

What is the "reset" trick?

When you die, a red "death" screen appears.  Do not click on this red screen. instead of clicking on the red screen you can hit the reload button and you will not die, but be taken back to the last time you saved the game (ie, when you last quit out or mailed an item).

About how strong should you be before you attack a samurai or one of those glowing guys?

The glowing guys and the samurais can do a lot of damage depending on your defense rating.  A guy with over 65 defense is hit very lightly (100 guts or so).  A guy with defense less than 35 can take as much as 200 from the glowing guys and up to 250 from the samurais from their ieatsus.  It is best to have a minimum of 500 skill to go after a samurai and 750 skill to go after the glowing guys.  This doesn't guarantee a first hit, but it gives you great odds on getting it.  You can either mesmerize, backstab, or ieatsu (if it is attainable); but mesmerizing is slower than the others.

My suggestion is to try to get over 750 skill, 150 guts, an attack of 40, and a defense of 40 in order to have good chance of killing them both.  You may still die, but the odds will be much more in your favor.  If you learn the reset trick you will have no more worries.

Is there a way to encounter them more often?

Nope, it's pure luck.

How do I obtain the abilities from a clan?

Clan abilities take one full reset to kick in.  Once you "use" your grant to join, you will have to wait until the next day for the abilities to work for you.  You can double check yourself by hitting the peer button.  If you hit the peer button and look at your own description, you will notice at the bottom what your abilities are.  If you have properly joined a clan then you will see the abilities listed after GUILD, if you have also joined the guild in the forest.

How young can you get by using youth elixers?

8 years is the youngest.

Why does the Samurai just break my bushido token?

Sometimes it takes a few times to get them to accept a token.  Run if they don't take it and your stats are low.  Also, it says they break the token, but the token is fine and still usable in your pack.  No worries there.  Just keep trying and one will take it sooner or later.  It is possible to get an ieatsu with very low stats.

What does it mean when someone "flashes you the trade guild sign" when you are playing dice?

Unfortunately, the flashing of the sign means nothing.  It is just another thing thrown in to have meaning some day, but it never did.

Where can you find a rutter to Shangala?

You get the rutters from the heroes in Hie Brazil.  The heroes are the Herocles, Damacles, Joxur, and other "Big Guy" enemies that ask you to solve a riddle.  Once you are in Shangala you will find other rutters there as well.
